As an Epic Executive, you’re not configuring the system yourself, but you do need quick, reliable visibility into whether your team is setting up programs, courses, and activities correctly. The Configuration Check scans for the 10 most common Epic implementation errors so you can spot risks early and hold the project to standard.
Why it matters
-
Confidence: Verifies the environment is aligned with Dual Code’s standards and your internal requirements.
-
Accountability: Shows whether issues are being caught and resolved promptly.
-
Risk reduction: Helps prevent false starts or incorrect “completed” statuses.
-
Progress oversight: A quick signal of overall implementation health—no technical deep dive required.
Step-by-Step Guide
To verify (and fix) your work:
-
Go to My Team > Configuration Check
-
Review any items where the status is not marked “OK”
-
For each flagged item, click the link in the Actions column
-
Many checks include a one-click fix button that automatically corrects all related errors
-
Continue working through the list until all checks show “OK”
Cadence & expectations
-
Early and often: Review the report early in the rollout and weekly thereafter—especially as new programs, courses, and activities are added.
-
Own the exceptions: Keep a short list of recurring issues and track time-to-resolution with owners.
-
Escalate patterns: If the same check fails repeatedly, request a root-cause review and a prevention plan.
