Super Users are experienced staff members selected from within departments to serve as peer-level support during and after the Epic implementation. They receive additional training on Epic workflows and act as a bridge between end users and the project team. Super Users are essential in reinforcing learning, answering questions, and helping ensure smooth adoption of the system within their department.
Key responsibilities include:
-
Attending advanced Epic training specific to their department’s workflows
-
Providing at-the-elbow support to colleagues during classroom sessions and go-live
-
Assisting with reinforcing correct use of Epic according to training and policies
-
Acting as the first point of contact for basic questions or issues
-
Escalating complex issues to trainers, analysts, or support staff as needed
-
Offering feedback to the training and implementation teams based on end-user experience
Super Users play a critical role in increasing user confidence, reducing reliance on formal support channels, and promoting consistent, department-specific adoption of Epic.
