Getting Administrator Access for Another Course

When you create a course, you automatically become the Instructor for that course. In organizations with multiple administrators or instructors, other users can also register to become an instructor in your courses

Step-by-step Guide

To register as an instructor in another course:

  1. Go to the course in question

  2. Go to Course Administration > Enrol me in this course

  3. Click on the "Get Administrator Access" button

  4. Find the user(s) in question and click on the "Enrol" button next to their name

  5. When you are finished, click on the "Enrol users" button to close the pop-up window.

Important Notes

  • If you do not see a “Get Administrator Access” button, you are not logged in as an administrator in the system.

  • You might be prompted for an enrolment key depending on whether an administrator set up a key for additional security measures. If so, you must enter a valid enrolment key before clicking on the “Get Administrator Access” button.

  • Once you are the instructor for the course, it will appear under “My Courses” on your site’s front page. If you no longer want to see the course appear under “My Courses”, you can simply go back to the course and click on Course Administration > Unenrol me from this course. (You’ll be able re-enrol once again later if you require administrator access in the future.)
