Managing Courses

By default, a regular instructor can't add a new course to the learning environment. They can only configure an existing course for which they have been granted the permission to teach and add learning activities to these courses. Someone with Course Creator or System Administrator rights must first create the course, and then assign one or more instructors to the course.

If you do not have the role of Course Creator or System Administrator, you must ask someone else to create the course (e.g. the empty shell) for you and make you the instructor of that course. Once that's done, you will be able to add activities, resources or face-to-face sessions to the course in question.
