Understanding the Face-to-Face Statuses

The face-to-face (F2F) activity tracks different statuses for users as they register and attend F2F sessions. The statuses are explained below to help users understand what they mean. They are sorted by alphabetical order, which doesn't represent the typical workflow.

  • Approved: This status can mean two things:

    • When "Approval required for signing up" is enabled, this status is temporarily changed to "Approved" if their request was approved by a supervisor, instructor or administrator. The status will then automatically change to "Booked".

    • When the user registered using a credit card (for courses that require payment), "Approved" means that the payment was approved.

  • Booked: This status means the learner is booked in the session. The end result is similar to the "Approved" status above except that the request did not go through an approval process. The user may have been added to a session by self-registering, or a supervisor, instructor or administrator may have added them.

  • Declined: This status can mean two things:

    • When "Approval required for signing up" is enabled, this status means that the learner tried to sign up for a session and their request was forwarded to a supervisor, but the request was declined.

    • When the user registered using a credit card (for courses that require payment), "Declined" means that the payment was declined.

  • Fully attended: This status means that the learner fully attended the class. The attendance is generally marked by an instructor. This status can only happen with sessions that are in progress, or in the past since attendance cannot be marked for future sessions.

  • No show: This status means that the learner did not show up in class. The attendance is generally marked by an instructor. This status can only happen with sessions that are in progress, or in the past since attendance cannot be marked for future sessions.

  • Partially attended: This status means that the learner showed up but did not fully attend the session. For example, they may have showed up late or left early. When the instructor marks the user as "partially attended", they have the option to add a comment.

  • Requested: This status means that the learner signed up for a session where "Approval required for signing up" is enabled. An email has been sent to the learner's supervisor, but no one has yet Approved nor Declined the request.

  • User cancelled: This status means that the learner was booked (including "Booked" and "Approved" statuses) in a session, but their registration was later cancelled. Anyone with the right privileges, including an instructor, supervisor, administrator, or the learner themselves, may have cancelled the registration.

  • Waitlisted. This status means that the learner is on a waiting list for a session that is currently full. If a seat opens up and the user is registered, their status will change to "Booked".
