Troubleshooting a Failed Scheduled User Task

Problem

Scheduled user tasks may partially fail from time to time. This is generally because some (or all) of the data in the CSV file is erroneous. When a scheduled user task fails, the administrator will have received an email (assuming you are subscribed to receive such emails).

Solution

To troubleshoot a partially failed scheduled user task:

  1. Click on the link in the email you received, where it says "See more details at:"
  2. Look for row that contains the error in question. You can filter in the "Status" column for the word "partial success"
  3. Look at the error message in the row

Important Notes

  • The "Error message" column only displays the first 5 errors it discovered while running the task. Fixing the 5 errors doesn't mean the rest of the file is accurate and re-running the task may result in additional failures.
  • Even if some errors were encountered, the rows in the CSV file that were accurate still successfully completed.
