Renewing a License for a Course
The terms and conditions for course licenses are set by the organization offering the course, not Dual Code. These terms are typically specified on page 2 of the quote or invoice.
You can view the expiration date for a particular license by going to the course and clicking on Course Administration > License Management. Once a license expires:
The activation code can no longer be used to enroll new users.
Users who are already enrolled will lose access to the course once the code has expired.
The purchaser who made the original purchase will be notified automatically as the license approaches its expiration date, ensuring they have ample time to complete the renewal process. There is a link in the email notification that allows the purchaser to easily renew the license.
When to Renew Your License
When renewing a course license, you have the option to either "Renew" or "Buy More Licenses". If you select the "Renew" option during checkout, it is perfectly fine to pay the invoice at any time. The additional one-year period will automatically start when the current license expires, ensuring continuous access for your users.
On the other hand, if you opt to "Buy More Licenses", then the additional licenses you purchase will be effective immediately. They will be part of a separate order (with a separate license key).
How to Renew Your License
If you haven’t received an email about your license renewal, check your spam / junk folder. If you still can’t find it, you can still renew a license by following these steps.
Navigate to the course in question.
Go to Course Administration > License Management.
Select the "Renew existing license" option.
Follow the instructions to complete the payment process.
Key Benefits of Renewing Early
Seamless Continuity: The additional license period starts automatically when the old one expires, avoiding any service disruptions.
Simplified Access: You can continue using the same license key, eliminating the need to distribute a new key to your users.
