Anonymizing User Information on Staging Server

Problem

As an administrator, you might notice that all email addresses on the staging server are "noreply@dualcode.com". This is intended. For security and privacy reason, Dual Code anonymizes each user's email address when copying the database from the production server to the staging server. New in 3.5.14.2 - We also reset everyone's email address each night to "noreply@dualcode.com" in the event that someone changed it during the day.

Solution

As mentioned above, this behaviour is intentional. It prevents you from accidentally sending emails to your users while running tests on the staging server. It's also part of a process that Dual Code has in place to anonymize the user's information for non-production systems.

If you need to send emails from staging for testing purposes, you can manually change someone's email address. But please keep in mind that it will be reset overnight.
